Second power cut strikes Newbury town centre




A second power cut in the space of a day has hit Newbury town centre.

The Kennet Centre is affected, as well as Newbury Station and several other town centre businesses and properties.

Earlier, it was reported that he north end of Northbrook Street as well as some parts of London Road, Park Street and Park Way were without power, but this has now been restored.

A Scottish & Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) engineer is currently on route to fix the problem.

It is hoped that power will be restored by 5.30pm.
