Simon is a relatively rare breed of musician, one who is equally at home playing flute, clarinet, soprano, alto, tenor or baritone sax. He also composes, arranges, does regular session work and even finds the time to front his own jazz band So expect the unexpected!
Simon has played with the biggest names in entertainment and is currently the regular sax player with Paul Jones and the Manfreds.
The combination of Simon's talents and the Apollo Big Band will provide the chemistry to ensure a fabulous musical evening.
The Apollo Big Band is 17-piece jazz orchestra with a wide repetroir of more than 1100 charts from big band classics to big band versions of current pop songs, including stunning renditions of hits from the world's greatest band leaders and arrangers like Basie, Nestico and Gordon Goodwin. From the timeless classics of Basie to the iconic melodies of The Beatles, and even modern favorites from Dua Lipa, there's something for everyone to enjoy!
