Serious accident causes havoc

Traffic chaos follows incident on A34 near Stockcross
LONG tailbacks were caused by an accident on the A34 near Stockcross this evening (Sunday).
Residents reported seeing the Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance landing in a nearby field at around 5pm and ferrying at least one casualty to hospital.
The accident, which was first reported at 4.45pm, is believed to have involved one car and one motorbike.
The carriageway was open again by 7.30pm.
