'Several hundred thousand pounds' worth of damage caused to aircraft at Englefield
According to Thames Valley Police (TVP) the three aircraft were vandalised at an airfield in Bostock Lane, Englefield, Reading, on land believed to be owned by the Englefield Estate.
Police were called to the airfield yesterday (Tues) morning, after the aircraft were discovered with significant damage to them, which police suspect to have been caused overnight by a vehicle being driven into them.
The exact value of the damage to the aircraft is not known, but it is believed to be several hundred thousand pounds-worth.
A vehicle was discovered set alight nearby in Bath Road, A4, Theale, and police are investigating if the vehicle was used in this incident.
A 29-year-old man has been arrested in connection with this incident and is currently in police custody in Abingdon.
