'Severe' delays on A34 southbound near Newbury following road traffic collision

Drivers are being warned of delays of around 15 minutes on the A34 southbound near Newbury this morning (Thursday) following a road traffic collision.

Lane one is closed between the A34's junctions with the A4 and the A343, west of Newbury.

This is resulting in 'severe' delays, with the road expected to clear between 8.45am and 9am.

Normal traffic conditions are expected to resume earlier, between 8.30am and 9am.
