Severe delays on M4 due to medical emergency

UPDATE: The road has now been cleared

There is severe traffic congestion on the M4 eastbound this morning, Tuesday, November 8.

National Highways report "severe" congestion and 20 minute delays.

The cause is cited as a "medical emergency."

The incident occurred around 6am between junctions 13 and 14 between Chieveley and Hungerford.

Queues were said to be up to four miles long by 7am.
