Sexual touching charge facing Hungerford man Dieter Hansen is dismissed
A MAN has had a charge of sexual touching dismissed.
Dieter Hansen had been due to stand trial for the offence at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Monday, June 3.
At a previous hearing the 58-year-old, of Park Way, Hungerford, denied intentionally touching a woman in a sexual way when she did not consent, and when he did not reasonably believe she was consenting.
The offence was said to have been committed in Hungerford on a specific date in May last year.
On that occasion Mr Hanson, a former pupil at John O’Gaunt School, spoke only confirm his details and to plead not guilty to the single charge.
It was adjourned for the trial to take place.
However at Monday’s hearing, where he was legally represented by Daniella Adeluwoye, the charge was formally dismissed and Mr Hansen was pronounced not guilty.
