Shaw Estate reunion set for March

Former residents of a Newbury housing estate are set to meet for a party at Shaw Social Club
A REUNION for the residents of a bustling Newbury housing estate during the Fifties and Sixties will go ahead in March.
Shaw Estate opened in 1949, and two friends who were children at the time are hoping to bring together the rest of their gang and everyone else who lived there during that time for a party at Shaw Social Club.
Organiser Dave Guy said a room had been booked at the club in Almond Avenue, Shaw, for the event on Saturday, 26 March, and the cost will be £8, which includes a buffet.
