Shaw House to re-open with special exhibition

‘Bombing that moved a School’ will tell the story of children and families affected by the council school moving to Shaw House after the bombing of Newbury during the Second World War.
Following this theme, Shaw House will be holding a range of 1940s activities during the February half term including a fun trail to try and spot Second World War aircraft, which will be held throughout the week.
The first will be a special family activity day about aircraft today (Weds) and then visitors are invited to bring objects and photos from the 1940s as part of two show and tell sessions at 10:30am and 2pm on Friday.
Experts will also be holding walk and talk sessions for visitors to learn about the history of Shaw House.
These will be held on February 24 at 11:15am and 2:15pm and last one hour.
Shaw House is open at weekends 11am-4pm until September 8.
