A sheep bought the M4 to a temporary standstill this afternoon.
The animal wandered onto the motorway between junctions 13 (Chieveley) and 12 (Theale).
Thames Valley Police were called and closed the road at 2.52pm to safely move the animal.
The stretch of motorway reopened six minutes later.
