Reading Magistrates' Court: Thatcham thief is sentenced

A SHOPLIFTER from Thatcham has been sentenced.
In the dock at Reading Magistrates' Court on Friday, April 29. was Mark Steadman.
The 46-year-old, of Rosemary Gardens, admitted stealing £212 worth of alcohol from the town's Waitrose store on November 7 last year.
Mr Steadman, who was legally represented by Adonis Daniel, was fined £240.
In addition, he was ordered to pay £85 costs.
Finally, Mr Steadman was ordered to pay Waitrose £212 compensation in lieu of an otherwise statutory victim services surcharge.
