Shoplifter Darren Wooldridge targeted Thatcham stores
A SHOPLIFTER is awaiting sentencing for two thefts.
Darren Wooldridge appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, February 27.
The 53-year-old, of Chapel Street, Thatcham, admitted stealing £33 worth of confectionery from Sainsbury’s in Coombe Square, Thatcham, on November 6 last year.
He further admitted stealing food of an unknown value from Tesco in Northfield Road, Thatcham, on January 4.
Wooldridge, who was legally represented by Simon Hammudi, also has previous convictions, the court heard.
Magistrates adjourned for pre-sentence reports.
They stipulated these should be prepared on an ‘all options’ basis, including custody.
Wooldridge was meanwhile released on bail with on condition he does not enter either store.
