Shoppers report delays in Newbury Tesco carpark ahead of busy festive period
In recent weeks, the Newbury Weekly News has received reports from disgruntled shoppers saying that lengthy tailbacks have formed on some occasions, with one adding that it took 25 minutes to leave when he visited one Wednesday evening after work.
A Tesco spokesman, who asked not to be named, said that the store had not been made aware of any issues of customers being delayed when leaving the car park.
He added: “Colleagues at our Newbury Extra store will be monitoring the situation to make sure customers can enter and leave our car park as easily as possible.”
