Berkshire Vision roadshow to support local communities

A local sight loss charity is on a mission to make it easier for local communities to find out more about the support and services it provides.

Berkshire Vision offers emotional and practical support by way of social activities, adapted sports and more to children, adults and their families following a sight loss diagnosis.

And this May, the charity is heading out on the road to reach smaller communities across the county which may not be aware of its work in helping visually impaired people to build their confidence and independence.

Anyone living with a sight loss condition, or has family of friends who do, is welcome to come along.

Berkshire Vision marketing and communications officer Clare Matthews said: “It’s really important that everyone who might need our support knows about us.

“We can help with a wide range of services from emotional support and useful resources that help with every day life to sports and social activities to help build confidence.

“We’ll be easy to find in the car park of each venue in our branded people carrier. Do come and say hello and find out how we can help.”
