Silchester Players are about to tackle that trivial comedy for serious people, The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde. Two girls earnest to marry, two gentlemen eager to respond and one Lady earnestly hoping for cucumber sandwiches... Performances are on Fridays, May 11 and 18, and Saturdays May 12 and 19 at Silchester Village Hall, curtain up at 7.30pm.
