Silos bring delays to local roads...again

The latest transportation of heavy silos is causing problems for motorists in the Thatcham and Newbury area this lunchtime

WEST Berkshire motorists are experiencing problems on the roads again today (Thursday) due to the latest transportation of a large load.

Large silos from the old Courage brewery in Reading are being transported to Tot Hill today by Teahan Convoi Service, escorted by police.

However, as happened last week, the transportation is causing long delays on many local roads, particularly in the Thatcham area (.

The load is due to be transported to Tot Hill today via Newbury, before being transported to Southampton Docks tomorrow (Friday).

The transportation of similar loads is set to be repeated on three more occasions in the coming weeks, after today.
