Singer goes from Brotherhood of Man to Twelve Happy Angels

Sue Glover, one half of sister duo Sue and Sunny and who also worked with the likes of Dusty Springfield, Elton John and David Bowie, now lives in Bucklebury and has created the book Twelve Happy Angels with the help of friends Terry Stairs and Ian Ellis.
She said: “In the past few months I have thrown myself into completing the book.
“My inspiration was born out of a desire to give help to children who are experiencing health problems.
“I speak from personal experience, and now have some idea what other families have had to endure.
“I have had a very successful career and now is the time to give something back to people who aren’t as fortunate.”
The book includes an audio CD of poems accompanied by music, produced by her daughter Becci Grey, and is officially being launched at the Chapel Row Fayre on August 24.
The book costs £7 and all profits raised on the day will be donated to West Berkshire Mencap and Spring Charity Fundraiser, which supports local families with disabled children.
The beneficiaries will vary from each event, but will always benefit children’s charities.
