Sir A P McCoy to turn on Hungerford's Christmas lights




Countdown starts for lights switch-on this evening (Sun)

HUNGERFORD's famous Christmas lights are due to be switched on by legendary jockey, Sir A P McCoy this evening (Sunday).

The switch-on will be preceded by a programme of festive entertainment from 4.30pm, led by the Hungerford Town Band and featuring entertainment by pupils from John O Gaunt School and Hungerford Primary School.

Come and see why Hungerford's festive display is known as the best in the west.

Arrive early to enjoy refreshments including a barbecue, hog roast and cakes on the town hall steps.

Hungerford Town Council, which arranges the annual display has expressed thanks to all those businesses and individuals who donated towards keeping the spectacle going.
