Sites of "exceptional local significance" to be listed

The buildings that are to be considered at a council meeting later this month are: Newbury War Memorial, Village Farm Barn at Aldermaston, two milestones at Chieveley, Crookham House and Coxedd & Pearce’s Almhouses at Enborne Road in Newbury.
Anthony Pick, Chairman of the Heritage Forum, said: “Local listing identifies our valuable local heritage assets and ensures that their unique qualities are documented for future plans, without imposing new or onerous obligations on the owner.
“I am very pleased that we are moving forward with this project.”
