Six arrested following series of drug and theft warrants
The first arrest occurred at around 9:50am after officers found a bottle, suspected to contain methadone, in a property in Horne Road, Thatcham.
A man, aged 34, was arrested on suspicion of possession of class A drugs and has been released on bail until July 13.
A quantity of cash and class B drugs, suspected to be cannabis, were discovered by police at a property in Craven Road, Newbury, and further class B drugs, again suspected to be cannabis, and drug paraphernalia, were found in the garden of a house in Greyberry Copse Road, Greenham.
A man, aged 22, was arrested on suspicion of possession of class B drugs and possession of class B drugs with intent to supply in connection with both properties, and has been released on bail until July 29.
A 21-year-old man was also arrested at the Craven Road property on suspicion of possession of class B drugs and was given a caution, while two women, aged 48 and 22, were arrested at the Greyberry Copse Road property, both of whom have been released without charge.
Two further arrests, of a woman, aged 47, and a man, aged 40, were made on suspicion of shoplifting, in relation to an incident at the Co-op store in The Broadway, Thatcham on April 17 in which bottles of fabric softener were stolen.
Both received cautions for this offence.
