Aldworth voted the second happiest place in Berkshire
Aldworth has been named the second happiest place to live in Berkshire.
The West Berkshire village, which boasts one of Britain’s best pubs – The Bell Inn – was given the accolade in a new survey.
Locations were ranked according to the beauty of the surroundings and green spaces, provision of good state schools and affordable housing, as well as access to quality pubs, restaurants, independent shops and cultural attractions.
Bray was named the happiest place in Berkshire, with Cookham third, Pangbourne fourth and Newbury fifth.
Online store Furniturebox polled 5,000 people across the UK in the survey, with panels in each big city and county, including Berkshire.
