Snappers capture early signs of Spring

Some Newburytoday.co.uk users have submitted some photos of spring scenery from across the district

AS SPRING shoots into action, some Newburytoday.co.uk users have been out snapping some of the countryside scenes.

David Canning, of Aldermaston, has recently taken photographs of St Mary the Virgin Church in Stratfield Mortimer and sheep grazing at Mortimer West End (above), showcasing a rural snapshot of the district, while Calcot man Phil Knott captured a pair of Egyptian geese and chicks at Hosehill Lake in Theale on Sunday (April 3).

Our own photographer Phil Cannings has also caught some spring scenes on camera in Newbury recently, with ducklings on the Kennet and Avon Canal and daffodils blossoming in Victoria Park.

If you have been out snapping yourself, remember to send in your pictures to newburytoday@newburynews.co.uk, marked ‘My Newbury' and we will feature them here online at Newburytoday.co.uk, and in our sister newspapers, the Newbury Weekly News and The Advertiser.
