Sooty hopes to make clean sweep into new home

Sweet five-year-old spaniel cross

Sooty the spaniel crossbreed, is hoping to make a clean sweep into a new home.

Sooty, a five-year-old spaniel cross is ready to wave ‘bye-bye everybody’ to Dogs Trust Newbury and hello to a loving new owner.

Jenny Hopkins, Assistant Manager at Dogs Trust Newbury, said:

“Sooty is a sweet lad who enjoys the quiet life. He is at his happiest when exploring on a long walk or having a cuddle with his carers. As he dislikes too much noise, Sooty is best suited to a home in a rural location away from too much hustle and bustle, where he can be walked in a quiet area.”

“Sooty can be shy around new people so potential owners will need to visit him several times to build up a friendship and gain his trust. He would love to find a home with a secure garden and, as he can be nervous around other dogs, he will need to be the only pet in the home.”

Do you think you could make Sooty your new best buddy? Why not pop into the rehoming centre at Plumb’s Farm, Hamstead Marshall, Newbury, Berks RG20 0HR or call the rehoming centre on 0300 303 0292.

Dogs Trust is the UK’s largest dog welfare charity and cares for nearly 17,000 stray and abandoned dogs each year through its network of 20 Rehoming Centres in the UK and one in Ireland. For more information about the charity’s work please visit www.dogstrust.org.uk.
