Special awards presented at Shaw House to early year groups.
Seven early years education groups received a Quality Award, from West Berkshire Council's Early Years team, on Tuesday December 2.
The groups awarded included: The Rainbow Montessori (Burghfield), The Village Montessori (Bradfield), Kintbury St Mary’s Primary School, Yattendon Church of England Primary School, Chieveley Primary School, Birch Copse Primary School and Robert Sandilands Primary School and Nursery.
The accreditation reflected a focus on eight key aspects, including leadership and management, the learning environment, community and the needs of individuals.
Irene Neill, West Berkshire's Executive Member for Children and Young People (Con Aldermaston) said:
" The Quality Award very much promotes the child being at the centre of a journey to excellence and builds on the strong practice that already exists in many of our schools, nurseries and preschools.
It offers valuable recognition for their day-to-day work as well as a practical context for continuing professional development.”
