Speen youngster's business in chance of £4,000 windfall - but needs your help
Gabi Cox, aged 22, launched Chroma Stationery, which offers a range of personalised notebooks, earlier this year.
She now needs to raise £4,000 by October 20 to receive a grant from Kickstarter.com for her business, to help fund an improved website, an increased range of products and marketing.
The campaign works by friends, family and customers pledging a financial donation to the business to meet a fundraising target - in this case £4,000 - to show support and viability for a business.
However, if the target isn’t reached, the business doesn’t get a penny.
Miss Cox started the brand as part of a university project, however has now turned it into a business, offering notebooks in a range of colours, all named after an important person in her life, with personalised messages.
She said: “It was after years of trying, to find a good quality notebook that wouldn’t break the bank but came in the exact colour I wanted.
“I was looking for a simple, no-fuss notebook that did exactly what it said on the tin.
“Most importantly I was looking for the colours I loved and a notebook I could make my own.
“I didn’t want a corporate looking black, blue or red notebook but equally didn’t want a very busy and often girly design.
“I did extensive research on colour psychology and why people like certain colours and not others. Therefore Chroma is a brand all about colour and how it can remind you of people, places and moments in life.”
So far, £1,370 has been pledged.
Anyone who donates £5 or more will receive a gift from Chroma Stationery.
To make a donation, visit www.kickstarter.com and search Chroma Stationery.
No money is taken from the supporters’ accounts unless the target is met.
