Sponsors sought for community cricket day

The organisers of a community cohesion cricket event are seeking sponsors.

Community United is organising a cricket and family fun day at Falkland Cricket Club next Sunday.

It wants West Berkshire businesses to donate and back its One Community fundraiser.

Community United chief executive Alice Kunjappy-Clifton said: “We are pleased to have the event back.

“The communities are going to be doing community food and there will be information stalls.

“Just seeing the community grow has been our favourite moment.”

This year the event will fall on Sunday, September 17, from 10am onwards at Falkland Cricket Club on Enborne Street.
