Sport celebrities visit Highclere Stud
Sir Alex Ferguson, Sir Barry McGuigan and Denise Lewis at yearling show today (Tuesday) and tomorrow
THREE big names in sport will visit Highclere Stud today (Tuesday) and tomorrow to view the newly purchased yearlings that owners hope will make the stars of next year's racing calendar.
Olympic gold medallist Denise Lewis and former Featherweight World Champion boxer Sir Barry McGuigan will attend the event today (Tuesday), while Manchester United manager and racehorse owner Sir Alex Ferguson will attend tomorrow (Wednesday).
The visiting celebrities will join 800 existing and potential syndicate members, who will view their new stock of yearlings.
Highclere specialises in putting together groups together to own shares in racehorses.
The company claims this enables the shareowners to enjoy racing at a fraction of the price and with increased chances of success.
