Town have top spot in sight

THATCHAM returned to second placed in the Uhlsport Hellenic League table after completing a quick double over bottom of the table Wokingham.

They trail leaders Flackwell Heath by one point with two games in hand and could claim top spot, if only for 24 hours, when they go to Reading’s Palmer Park to face Highmoor Ibis tonight (Monday).

First half goals from Marc Thompson, Yashwa Romeo and Adam Morris gave Thatcham a comfortable interval lead before Sam Bateman notched the only goal of the second half for the visitors.

Tadley on the move 

TADLEY CALLEVA continued their run of improved form with a 2-0 win at Totton and Eling in the Sydenhams Wessex League’s Division One.

Brett Denham, Tolu Sotonye and James Milford were on target for Tadley, who edged up to eighth place in the table.
