THATCHAM TOWN have to watch while the Hellenic League title chase is played out without them over the Easter period.

Tuesday night’s home reverse at the hands of now favourites Kidlington leaves Town with four league games to play, but two cup dates to fill before they can get back to the business of winning points.

Meanwhile, Kidlington entertain reigning champions Flackwell Heath on Saturday when a win would take them to the top with two games still in hand on Thatcham, one of which will be at Tuffley Rovers on Monday.

Flackwell, meanwhile, still have an interest in the crown and a win on Saturday and at home to Brimscombe and Thrupp on Monday, would take them to the top and likely leave Thatcham outside the top two.

Thatcham have to pursue cup interests when they go to Brackley Town Saints on Saturday in the quarter finals of the Bluefin Sports Challenge Cup, and on Wednesday they are under lights and seeking a place in the final of the Perpetua Press Floodlit Cup when they entertain Brimscombe and Thrupp.
