Ian Herring celebrates his late equaliser with team-mates
Hungerford Town 3 Gosport Borough 3
A LAST-gasp goal from Ian Herring enabled Hungerford to complete a second comeback and claim a Vanarama National League South point at Bulpit Lane.
Hungerford fell behind after only four minutes when a weak punch from goalkeeper George Legg cannond back in to the net, and Ben wright added a second after minutes when he latched onto a ball played over Rhys Tyler’s head to go on and hammer his shot beyond Legg.
It was two headers from Nat Jarvis that got The Crusaders back on terms before the hour was up, nodding home Diak John’s cross and then meeting a Scott Rees delivery to tie up the scores.
But they had to do it again when Warren Bentley scored from the penalty spot, only for Ian Herring to pounce and give the home side a point in the third minute of stoppage time.
