Tadley claim Premier scalp in cup tie

Sam Hamilton - late cup winner

TADLEY CALLEVA claimed a cup scalp at Barlows Park on Tuesday niight when beating Wessex League Premier Division Blackfield and Langley 3-2 in the Sydenhams Wessex League Cup.

The result takes Tadley into the quarter-finals after they came from behind on the night. They trailed to a 30th minute goal from Ethan Miller but pulled level just before the break when Connor Thorne tapped home and they went ahead shortly after the re-start when Brett Denham curled home his 19th goal of the season.

The visitors tied it up 15 minutes from time when Luke Winsper’s free kick found its way past the unsighted Tom Hindmarsh, but Tadley secured their place in the last eight with 10 minutes remaining when Sam Hamilton’s deflected effort took them through.
