HUNGERFORD notched their biggest win in the Vanarama National League South as The Crusaders put City to the sword at the Marsh Lane ground.

They had to survive a penalty awarded to the home side after only three minutes when George Legg got down to save from City skipper Scott Davies, and still had to negotiate a tricky path through the first half after taking the lead when Louis Soares set up Nicholas Bignall to put the visitors ahead.

Godfrey Poku headed against the Hungerford bar and Legg saved well from James Roberts as Hungerford kept their lead intact before sweeping City aside after the break.

Luke Williams extended the lead after 58 minutes and Soares curled home the third against his former club before subtitute Harry Goodger made it thrree in the space of 10 minutes.

Goodger was set up for his second goal, seven minutes from time, and Soares nodded home his second to complete the six hit.
