Spring ball for Swings and Smiles

The West Berkshire-based charity is planning a ball at the Donnington Valley Hotel and Spa on May 6

SWINGS and Smiles, the West Berkshire-based charity raising funds for a planned recreation centre for children with special needs, is planning a spring ball in Donnington in May.

The ball will take place at the Donnington Valley Hotel and Spa on May 6 and will feature music from the Queen tribute band Mercury and May.

Swings and Smiles has already raised more than £300,000 towards their goal of building a recreational centre in which young people with special needs and their families can play in a safe, secure environment.

Founder of the charity, Sian Cook, said: “Our aim to build the recreational centre to serve a clearly identified need in West Berkshire and beyond remains at the heart of all our efforts, but we are already providing an online sibling support counselling service from our office base in Newbury and are exploring other ways to help families with children with special needs.”

Tickets for the event costs £45 per person, include a three course meal and booking forms are available by clicking the link below.
