Spring food and craft fair celebrate 'shopping local' at Shaw House




A fair celebrating local produce and products along with the arrival of spring was held at Shaw House last weekend.

In keeping with this year’s theme of ‘shopping local’, Shaw House’s spring food and craft fair saw vendors, artists and craftspeople from West Berkshire selling a variety of unique products to customers.

The fair, which saw bright, sunny weather on Sunday, April 3, contained more than 60 stalls in total, with a variety of food and drink outlets selling cake, teas, oils, sauces, chutneys and gins.

There were also a number of craft stalls that sold handmade pottery, woodwork, homeware, jewellery, art and much more.

A food truck selling authentic Italian street food and Caroline’s Little Kitchen vintage van, which served sweet and savoury crepes, were both on hand to satisfy appetites.

The Shaw House café was also open and offering refreshments to visitors.
