Spring is in the air!

The latest My Newbury submissions centre around the first daffs of 2012

THE mild weather has caught one West Berkshire gardener by surprise when he noticed his first daffodil had blossomed.

David Canning has submitted some great photos taken at his home in First Avenue, Aldermaston, which show a solitary daffodil in its full glory.

Mr Canning said: “I was very surprised when I went round the front of the house to do a bit on the model railway and found one of last years daffs had already come out. I thought I took them all out as I am re-deveoloping that area. This one got left in and has been in bud for a few days now.”
