Music and sport among today's 'to do' choices
SPRING is in the air today (Sunday) with a wedding show in Donnington, alongside musical delights in Pangbourne and sports fixtures locally.
Those hoping to tie the knot this year should head along to a wedding show, at the Donnington Grove Hotel, Donnington, RG14 2LA, between 11am and 3.30pm. Free admission. Fashion show at 1pm by Fantasia Bridal.
Anyone searching for that elusive Valentine's Day gift may find inspiration among hand crafted items at Woolton Hill Village Market, between 10am and 1pm, at St Thomas' Church Hall.
A tea room will be raising funds for Guide Dogs and The Baker Boys will be selling fresh bread and savouries, alongside Brunch Box, offering freshly cooked pulled pork rolls.
The Coffee House, The Grocery and Egg Box, will also be setting up stalls, along with artisan cheeses at The Cheese Basket and flavoured sugars from The Rats Whiskers.
Music lovers can take advantage of a brass music family-friendly afternoon concerts, at the he Falkland Islands Memorial Chapel, Pangbourne, starting at 3pm.
The performance includes the Corps of Army Music, Guards Brass Ensemble, and principal trumpet, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, James Fountain. Free. Tickets from www.wegottickets.com/event/346459.
Then, at 4.45pm, Enfield Citadel Band, will perform, conducted by the Head of Brass and Bandmaster at Pangbourne College, Jonathan Corry, together with James Fountain, Guards Fanfare Team and Pangbourne College Marching Band.
