Newbury will be all aglow as the Festival of Light procession returns to Northbrook Street at 4pm.
Hundreds of families have been busy creating willow and tissue paper lanterns in recent weeks, and last year's event drew in an estimated crowd of 1,500 people.
The build up to Christmas might see people gain a few pounds as they overindulge on festive treats but not the hundreds of Santas who will put on their jogging shoes in Thatcham today.

All entrants receive a Santa outfit, which they get to keep, and those who complete the course will receive a medal.
You can enter the race at the Family Bookshop at £20 for adults and £10 for students and children.
The Nature Discovery Centre is also offering you to take a step towards a guilt free Christmas by making decorations out of recycled materials.
