St Bart's to host Diwali celebration

The West Berkshire Minority Ethnic Forum is planning a celebration at the Newbury school next month

THE West Berkshire Minority Ethnic Forum is planning a Diwali celebration at St Bartholomew School in Newbury on Saturday, October 22.

There will be live performances of Indian dance, an Bhangra disco and after dinner performances from the energetic Dhol Player Collective.

Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights, is an important festival in Hinduism, Jainism, and Sikhism.

Entry is free but tickets for meals cost £5.
