St Gabriel's school charity cake sale

Almost £1,000 raised for Macmillan

PUPILS, parents and staff at St Gabriel’s School raised £960 at a charity cake sale.

The huge sale of goodies was held in aid of Macmillan and was hosted at the independent day school, situated at Sandleford Priory.

A bake-off competition saw cakes shaped to resemble a dog and a hedgehog pipped to the post by Helen Moth’s stunning rainbow creation.

“The competitive nature of the junior schoolteachers was evident, as they battled to impress pupils and the new principal, Richard Smith,” said Jane Benney, a school spokesperson.

Boys up to the age of 11 to 12 may attend the nursery and junior schools at St Gabriel’s.

The school hosts an open morning on February 24, from 9.30am to noon.
