Stage set for tonight's (Fri) Rock at the Racecourse contest
Seven bands will compete at Newbury Racecourse for the chance to win first prize of £500 and a day in a recording studio.
Organised by Greenham Common Trust, the event will feature the Mini Band as guest of honours followed by the acts which were shortlisted for the final by voters at
- Gutter Godz, Highly Personal, The Doss, Conan MacDermott, Glacier, Jammin Dodgers and Empires.
The shortlisted bands will play live in front of the grandstand at the racecourse and will be followed by Brighton band The Crave.
Judges on the night will include Martin Whalley from Berkshire Maestros, Rick Green from Sticks and Stings in Thatcham, Studio 91 owner, Jordan Fish and actor and musician Adam Kotz.
The event starts at 6.30pm but the gates open at 5pm.
