Reading Magistrates' Court: Thatcham stalker climbed through Newbury victim's window

A STALKER who attacked his victim climbed through her window.

In the dock at Reading Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, November 2, was Nicu Caeriu.

The 32-year-old, of The Broadway, Thatcham, admitted stalking Renata Kamarovaite in Newbury between Monday, October 31, and Tuesday, November 1.

He did so by repeatedly attending her home address, knocking on the door and windows; by repeatedly loitering outside, by following her to a medical appointment and even by climbing in through her home window, the court heard.

In addition, Mr Caeriu admitted assaulting Ms Kamarovaite by beating her on Newbury on November 1.

He was made subject to a 12-month conditional discharge.

In addition, he was ordered to pay a statutory victim services surcharge, plus £40 costs.

Finally, the court imposed a 12-month restraining order preventing Mr Caeriu from contacting Ms Kamarovaite, either directly or indirectly, or from going to a specific address in Newbury.
