Reading Magistrates' Court: Newbury man who stalked Thatcham woman sentenced

A MAN who stalked and attacked his victim has been sentenced.

In the dock at Reading Magistrates' Court on Friday, July 15, was Glenn Lee.

The 50-year-old, of Cedar Drive, Newbury, admitted assaulting Angela Margrie by beating her at an address in Thatcham on September 30 last year.

He had initially denied the offence but later changed his plea to guilty.

Mr Lee further admitted having stalked her in January and February this year by bombarding her with calls from a withheld number, turning up at her home and sending flowers before threatening to damage her property.

He was made subject to a two-year community order.

Mr Lee was also ordered to pay £300 costs plus a statutory victim services surcharge of £95.

Finally, magistrates made him subject to a two-year restraining order preventing him from contacting his victim, either directly or indirectly.
