Stardom beckons for Cameron

The 10-year-old, who lives in Great Bedwyn and attends the village primary school, has just finished filming his part in the forthcoming screen version of West End hit, Les Miserables.
There he spent time on set with Crowe and other well known actors including Hugh Jackman and Ann Hathaway.
Cameron plays one of Gavroche’s urchins in the film, due out in December, and between takes, struck up a friendship with Crowe’s two sons.
He said: “When the film’s producer, Cameron Mackintosh, asked my name, he said: ‘Cameron – that’s a great name!’”
Cameron, who has been acting, singing and dancing since he was aged six, has been snapped up on by top agency Sylvia Young, whose clients have included singer Amy Winehouse, Dr Who star Billie Piper and actress and presenter Denise van Outen.
His mother Anthea said: “He can’t wait to see the film in December. Filming was a great experience and it’s whetted his appetite for more.”
Cameron has said he wants to save most of his fee but also wants to make a donation to Sport Relief after being touched by reports of sick and dying in Africa.
However, he will also treat himself to a I Pod Touch.
But Cameron can’t rest on his laurels, for today (Thursday) he was due to audition for another big role - in a forthcoming film called King.
Set in Great Yarmouth against a backdrop of council blocks and faded sea-side splendour, and accompanied by a rock and roll soundtrack, King is described as an intimate, character driven, buddy movie about the friendship of two boys on the outskirts of life; Michael Williams, a young man with cerebral palsy and Malcolm Robson, a young boy from a dysfunctional family who thinks he's Elvis Presley.
Cameron has been brushing up on his Elvis impersonation - he is auditioning for the part of Malcolm.
