Newbury Racecourse Easter 'Eggstravangaza' as Dubai Duty Free Spring Trials opens the flat season

Celebrate the Easter weekend with a family trip to Newbury Racecourse, with entertaiment for all ages.

The flat season starts with the Dubai Duty Free Spring Trials at Newbury Racecourse on Saturday April 16 and Sunday 17.

The Racing Experience Day on Saturday has plenty to entertain all ages from the opportunity meet retired racehorse Ouzbeck to finding out about being a jockey.

There's the chance to have a go on a mechanical horse, learn about syndicate ownership and even head down to the start and watch the starting stalls in action.

On Sunday at the Eggstravaganza, the Easter bunny Peter Rabbit will be making an appearance alongside Newbury Racecourse's very own Harry the Horse. They will be handing out Easter goodies throughout the day.

There will also be seven live races, a petting zoo, storytelling for the kids and Easter egg hunts, face painting and crafts.

The weekend is one of the first opportunities of the season to see some of the early group races with plenty of superstar horses who have started their racing journey at Newbury, such as Frankel.
