Steeplechase legend to be paraded at Lambourn Open Day
The gelding, who was retired last year, is now in the care of Laura Collett, the three day eventer based near Lambourn on the Membury Estate.
His successes include winning the Cheltenham Gold Cup twice, becoming the first horse to ever win, lose and then regain the highlight race of the National Hunt Season.
In addition, he added five wins in the King George VI Chase at Kempton Park, four Betfair Chases and two Tingle Creek Chases to his roll of honour.
Kauto Star will be paraded during the afternoon of the event on Good Friday, March 29.
Among the other highlights already confirmed is a performance by The Household Cavalry with its Musical Ride.
Tickets cost £12 for the day and £6 after 1pm, while entry for children is free.
Money is raised for local charities, the Lambourn Housing Trust and Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance Trust. For further details go to www.lambourn.info
