Still looking for a royal wedding party?

Why not have your photo taken with the royal couple at Yattendon's street party today

YATTENDON is a hive of activity this afternoon with villagers rushing to put up the bunting, lay tables and ice royal wedding cup cakes.

The street party kicked off at 1pm with a hog roast at The Royal Oak and there is also a cardboard cut out of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge so you can have your picture with the happy couple on their wedding day.

One of the organisers of the event, which is expected to attract more than 300 people, Eva Gray, said: “The piece de resistance is the cut out of William and Kate which people can have their photo with.

“I managed to watch some of the ceremony but we were all busy getting ready. I've recorded it so I can watch it later. Kate looked beautiful.”

Dean and Tracey Foster, who own Yattendon Village Stores, were up at 5.30am getting ready for the street party.

Mr Foster said: “It's all for a good cause because all the money that is raised today will go to the West Berkshire Rapid Response Car which help people in our area.

“Kate has come into our shop many times. She's a very nice and down to earth girl and comes from a lovely family.”
