The mayor of Newbury councillor Billy Drummond said: “I’m so excited for this year’s Civic Awards. There has been some amazing voluntary work in Newbury over the last year which deserves to be recognised.”

The Newbury Town Civic Awards aim to celebrate achievements, honour volunteers and recognise those who make a difference in the community.

This year the awards will be celebrating its 25th anniversary.

Mr Drummond added: “I encourage everyone to think about any young people in their lives who have gone above and beyond and to consider nominating them for a Young Persons Civic Award for this special 25-year celebration.”

Nomination forms are available for collection from Newbury Town Hall, can be completed online or can be printed off from the Newbury Town Council website: https://www.newbury.gov.uk/the-council/civic-office/civic-awards/
