Monsoon and Accessorize to close in Parkway Shopping centre in Newbury, while Coffee #1 shuts for a revamp

Two more stores are to close in Newbury in the coming weeks.

Accessorize and Monsoon in Parkway Shopping will shut up shop for the last time later this month.

Elsewhere Coffee #1 is temporarily shut for a "light touch refurbishment".

The company has also recruited a new manager and assistant manager for the Parkway coffee shop and is currently hiring additional staff.

However, there have been a number of new additions to the shopping centre in recent months, with the latest company opening its doors just in time for Christmas.

Montagne Sports, the outdoor clothing and accessories retailer, can be found in the old Pandora unit.

Last year NEXT, HMV, The SweetBox, Isobel Retro Vintage Clothing Shop, 2112 Barbers, Artisan Handmade, La De' Kitchen and Mr Simms Old Sweet Shop all opened in Parkway.

Talks are also in the final stages with a new company that is due to open in the former Costa unit shortly.
