Met Office Weather Warning: Storm Arwen to hit Newbury this weekend
High winds are likely to cause potential travel disruption and damage as Storm Arwen hits West Berkshire area.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for strong winds from midnight through to 6pm on Saturday.
It has said that injuries and danger to life from flying debris are possible.
There may also be some damage to trees, temporary structures and buildings, such as tiles blown from roofs.
Road, rail, air and ferry services may be affected, with longer journey times and cancellations possible.
The Met Office also warned that some roads and bridges may close.
Power cuts may occur, with the potential to affect other services, such as mobile phone coverage.
