Storm Ellen: Fire crews secure loose tiles near Vue Cinema Newbury

Market Street closed to make area safe

FIRE crews were called to the centre of Newbury this afternoon to secure some tiles that had come loose on a large hoarding outside Kennet Shopping near the Vue Cinema entrance.

The sign hangs above Market Street, which has had to be closed from the council offices to Cheap Street, while the area is made safe.

Vue Cinema is due to open its doors again next Wednesday for the first time since lockdown.
